Deep Dark Secret past? Sure I have one. This is my first blog using my real name – Kelly Park. And if you really wanted to dig into my sordid past you would learn:
1. I have been married three times.
- the first time because I literally thought it would be “cool” and I wanted government housing (my military days).
- the second time because I was lonely. A word to the lonely unmarried but thinking about being married world : never marry an alcoholic – you will still be lonely but never bored and NOT in a good way.
- the third and current time because for the 1st time in my life I have fallen madly in love with a man who continues to amaze me on a daily basis (and will be forever known here as Husband.)
********************************************************************************************************************************************************
2. I spent 10 years 4 months and 22 days in the United States Navy as first an Airman then a Seabee
- It was the experience of a lifetime
- I raised a ton of hell worldwide. I have been drunk in five countries. I can also order beer in 4 languages.
- I met amazing people
- I saw amazing places
- I miss it a little almost everyday
- I am glad it’s over.
“They” say that your past has made you who your are today. That may be true but doesn’t stop the regret does it? But you cannot change the past (yet I am still betting on wormholes for that – see “jedikelly” entries for more info) nor can you hide from it. You face it, acknowledge it, step of the ledge of the now and hope for a future.
All the while remembering (to quote the Nerdfighters) “Don’t Forget To Be Awesome”

It has occured to me this “About Me” section/page isn’t very up-to-date. No mention of my current wonderful amazing life
I currently live in an apartment with wonderful Husband and Unfriendly Dog (she’s not entirely unfriendly maybe just very dog-like vocal). My current hobbies are blogging, reading and cooking – these hobbies change/rotate often. Or as Husband likes to say “I always have to have a project.” I have an 40-hour a week job in a cubicle with good benefits. I am a cancer survivor. My life is truly a blessing – something I have to continuously remind myself.
